Splash Dogs dock jumping competition is Sept. 22-23
New to this year's 3rd annual Missouri River Outdoor Expo at Ponca State Park (Sept. 22-23) will be Splash Dogs dock jumping competition. Dock jumping for dogs is fast becoming one of America's newest and most popular outdoor events. Pets compete for distance, diving from a dock into a 25-foot pool.

Splash Dogs was founded by Tony Reed after discovering that his beloved Black Labrador, Sierra, took to the water like a fish – a flying fish! Sierra is not only Tony's best friend, but a big hit at the Splash Dog circuit, jumping distances of up to 20 feet!

Splash Dogs events are open to any and all persons and their dogs. On Sept. 22, registration will begin at 9 a.m. Waves 1-3 will jump at 11 a.m., 1 p.m., and 4 p.m. On Sept. 23, check-in and registration begins at 10 a.m. with Wave 4 at 12 p.m. followed by the finals at 2 p.m. Cost is $10 for practice jumps and $20 per wave.

The Splash Dog competition will be located just south of the parking lot of the park's Resource and Education Center.
