Boys’ and girls’ track teams compete at Yankton Invitational

The Yankton Invitational cross country meet was held Thursday, Sept. 20, involving both the boys' and girls' varsity – JV and MS divisions. No team placements were calculated.

Girls' varsity results for the Tanagers: Lydia Ford (13th – 17:40). Also running for Vermillion were Sophie Nehlich-Arobba (21st); Celeste Sawyers (25th); Hannah Nehlich-Arobba (27th); Jana Bye (29th); and Emily Renner (31st).

Middle school (3000 M) Race: Blair Gilkyson – first (12:52); Beth Szymonski – third (13:53); and Cassie Donahoe – 7th (15:30).

Boys' varsity team standings were not recorded.

For Vermillion: Casey Carlson �16th (18:54); Broc Gauer – 30th (20:25); Brad Orr – 33rd (20:50); Ryan Angelo – (41st); and D.J. Donahoe (47th).

JV boys' (4,000 M) race: Ales Card – 15th (18:12); Robert Osterberg – (16th); Tevin Boehrns (23); and Sam Robinson (26).

MS (3,000 M) boys' race: Nick Britten – 14th (13:57); Mathew Moore – 19th (15:10); and Christian Davis – 21st (15:51).
