Elk Point will host Life Chain

Elk Point will be hosting their first annual National Life Chain on Oct. 7. The chain will start on the sidewalk in front of St. Joseph's Catholic Church, 605 East Main St. in Elk Point, to run westward toward the downtown area. All ages are welcome; the elderly may bring a chair.

Participants will hold a non-confrontational sign in support of choosing "life." Participants are asked to come at 2:10 p.m. to select a sign and take their place in the chain. From 2:30 to 3:30 p.m., signs will be demonstrated to the passing public, while chain members remain in silent prayer for the unborn and our nation. Signs will be available on the west side of St. Joseph's Church.
