Abbreviated piano recital,

3p.m. – Sunday, Oct. 14.

Full-length piano recital,


7 p.m. – Tuesday, Oct. 16.

Both recitals will be held at Colton Recital Hall, Warren M. Lee Center for the Fine Arts, USD campus, Vermillion.

Hesla is the son of Ruth and the late Kenneth Hesla. He was a member of Pleasant Valley Lutheran Church during his youth and a 1966 graduate of Wakonda High School.

Now he is Professor Steven Hesla, faculty member at the University of Montana since 1978. He received his bachelor of music degree from the Oberlin Conservatory of Music, Oberlin, OH, and master of music degree from the University of Illinois at Urbana.

He has given recitals as a guest artist at the University of Washington in Seattle, the University of Alaska at Anchorage, the Prince Carl Hall in Neckargemund, Germany, and the Hochschule fur Musik in Vienna, Austria.

The recitals are open to the public at no cost. Everyone is welcome.
