Secretary Rosalie Hubert read the minutes and Treasurer Frances Mollet gave the treasurer's report; both were approved as corrected. Several baby caps were donated by Del Mollet and Betty Lynn.
The October bingo was cancelled because of Dakota Days.
The Christmas gift bags were discussed. A motion was made by Glennis Stewart and seconded by Rosalie Hubert that the amount used be raised to $300, and that it be given to Julie Rolfs so that the gift bags could be filled at the November meeting.
November will be a regular meeting. The December meeting will be activities with the residents.
The business meeting was adjourned at 2:15 p.m., and the group activities began. At one table, several of the residents and members went down memory lane as we looked at the commemorative plates of the way farming was done. The plates were brought by Donna Schafer. We had two groups playing Mexican train dominoes, and one table playing cards. One group met and did a fall craft.
We ended the afternoon with cookies and coffee.
Our next meeting is Friday, Nov. 2, at 2 p.m. at the care center's dinning room.
