Tanager golf rebounds with home-meet win at The Bluffs

On Friday, Sept. 14, the VHS Invitational, held at The Bluffs in Vermillion, had 11 participating teams registered. The Tanagers reversed their Madison tournament disappointment by winning their home-course invitational with a 317 score.

Harrisurg placed second (327); Canton was third (335); Madison – fourth (337); and SF Christian – fifth (341).

Medalist was the Tanagers' Jordan Boots with a 73; Nolan Meyer (Harrisburg) – second, 74; Hayden Olinger (Canton) – third, 78; Broc Gauer (Vermillion) – fourth, 78; and Mike Quall (Bersford) – fifth, 79.

Other individual Tanager scoring: Alex Schaack tied for eighth (80); Aaron Steele – 86; and Mikal Ustad – 90.
