Tanager softball defeats Canton in doubleheader

The Tanagers junior varsity softball team swept the Canton JV in a doubleheader on Sunday, Sept. 16. The first game went to the international tie-breaker rule in the sixth inning.

The Tanagers won 2-1 on a single up the middle by Paige Korn to score Becca Hawley for the game-winning run.

Lizzie Bye gave up two hits, struck out eight and walked just one in picking up the win.

Bye pitched another gem in the second game, only giving up three hits and striking out four.

The Tanagers won the second game 5-1 Korn had two hits and two RBIs for the Tanagers.
