"We lost a couple tough games against a very good Yankton team," coach Lori Jerred said. "We played in some poor weather conditions, fighting the wind and rain in the first game. The girls had a rough third inning where the Gazelles scored six runs and we couldn't come back from such a deficit."
The Tanagers played Saturday morning at 9 a.m. against Brookings for the first round of the State Tournament, held at the Sherman SB Complex in Sioux Falls.
