On Oct. 9, the senior men competed in a four man scamble format from the red tees. This arrangement produced some very low scores. The first three places all had 32s. Placing first was the team of Bob Solomon, Jack Doyle, Buzz Richardson and Pat Boyle.
Coming in second were Elmer Mount, Milo Gilbertson, David Helseth and Guy Button. Taking third with a 32 were Dave Raabe, Van Pierce, Quentin Oleson and Jim Reed.
This week there was a loser's bracket. All non-winning cards were thrown into this category and three holes were drawn at random with the worst total on those three holes becoming a prize winner. That lucky team was Turk Pilker, Ray Lynn, Berwyn Svoboda and Joe Conroy.
Birdie putts were turned in by Guy Button with a 17 footer on #4 and another at #6 of 10 feet. Then David Helseth made a 17 footer on #1, while Elmer Mount dropped a 15 footer on #2.
