USD hosts sculpture exhibit

The University of South Dakota's Main Gallery in the Warren M. Lee Center for the Fine Arts will host the exhibit From A Distance: Matthew Zupnick Sculpture from Oct. 9-30. The show features sculpture using carved wood, cast bronze and welded steel to create a fantastic menagerie of kinetic and interactive works.�The Main Gallery is open to the public 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on weekdays and weekends from 1-5 p.m.�A public reception for Zupnick is scheduled for Friday, Oct. 12 from 7-9 p.m.

Zupnick, a professor of art at Central Missouri State University, also taught at the University of Alaska-Fairbanks and worked as an art handler at the Guggenheim Museum in New York City.
