Vermillion collars Watchdogs in volleyball action on Oct. 1
On Tuesday, Oct. 1, Vermillion hosted the Beresford Watchdogs in a varsity, junior varsity and freshman volleyball combined match, with the varsity team winning 25-11, 25-11, and 25-12, for a 3-0 whitewash.

Coach Lenni Billberg said, "What can I say? Everyone had a chance to play."

The JV (B) team lost 2-1, scoring 25-12, 19-25, 12-15. Assistant coach Jamie Baedke said, "We still have a lot to work on before our next match"

The Freshman (C) team won 2-0 scoring 25-17, 25-22.

"We got our second win of the season. We were without two key players, but the girls stepped up and played their positions," said assistant coach Chris Doty.
