City council meets Dec. 3

The Vermillion City Council will hold its regular meeting at 7 p.m. Monday, Dec. 3, in the Al Neuharth Media Center on The University of South Dakota campus.

Items on the meeting agenda include public hearings for annual liquor license and wine license renewals, and for a retail on-sale wine license for Bonnie Rowland for Raziel's at 13 & 15 West Main Street.

Under old business, the council will hear the second reading of Proposed Ordinance 1176 – Amending Appendix A of Ordinance No. 474 Zoning Ordinance, Section 14.0111(a)(1), use regulations for the B-2 Central Business District, requiring minimum area regulations for residential occupancies except when located on the second story or above.

Under new business, aldermen will take action on a proposed change to The Bluffs Golf Course rates, and will hear the first reading of

Proposed Ordinance 1177 – 2007 Supplemental Appropriations Ordinance.

The council will also take action on a resolution for the sale of 2007 Special Assessment Bonds, a resolution authorizing application for a Consolidated Water Facilities Construction Program Grant, a resolution authorizing application for Community Development Block Grant – Wastewater project and a resolution designating the CDBG Project Certifying Officer.
