City council meets Nov. 5

The Vermillion City Council will hold its regular meeting at 7 p.m. Nov. 5 in the Al Neuharth Media Center on The University of South Dakota campus.

Under old business, the council will consider a Cherry Street maintenance agreement with the state Department of Transportation. Aldermen will also hear the second reading of a proposed ordinance defining the role of the city manager to act as purchasing agent for the city.

Under new business, aldermen will hear the annual library report, will consider a resolution for sale of Bluffs housing sites, and will act on an agreement for garbage collection services involving Vermillion Garbage Service.
