The W.H. Over Museum is currently displaying collections from two area residents. A cookie cutter collection, owned by Joyce Brunken of Yankton, is on display in the museum's North Gallery Guest Collection Exhibit. A Hardanger Embroidery collection, owned by Carol Broderson of Volin, is on display in the museum's Lobby Guest Collection showcase. Both guest collection exhibits display collections on short-term loans from area residents. Both collections will be on display through the Christmas season.
Displays featuring collection of spice sets, miniature houses, advertising tins, buttons, and nurse dolls have all been shown this year. Individuals or groups wishing to share their collections with the public should contact the W.H. Over Museum weekdays at 605-677-5228.
Area residents and visitors are invited to the annual W.H. Over Museum Christmas Festival, which will be held at the museum on Dec. 2 from 1-4:30 p.m. Everyone is welcome to come help them begin the Christmas season.
