RTEC announces fall/winter class schedule
Whether you're looking for a class to help you prolong the life of your car or you'd like to begin working on a degree, the Regional Technical Education (RTEC) has what you need to get started on its fall/winter 2007 class schedule.

Classes being offered at RTEC include:

Electrical Troubleshooting: Tuesday and Wednesday, Nov. 27 and 28, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. The cost is $370 plus tax. Spend two days studying schematic diagrams, sequence of operations, troubleshooting for control circuits, combination starters and more!


Chief Architect: Tuesdays and Thursdays, Nov. 27, 29, Dec. 4, 6, 11 and 13, 5 to 9 p.m. The cost is $405 plus tax. Learn software that can help residential and light commercial designers visualize ideas and estimate costs before beginning.

Medical Terminology: Tuesdays, Jan. 8 through May 2008, 6 to 9 p.m. Cost is $395 plus textbook. Accredited course approved for dual credit by Mitchell Tech and Yankton High School. Open to high school juniors and above.

Anatomy/Physiology: Thursdays, Jan. 10 through May 2008, 6-10 p.m. The cost is $495 plus textbook. Accredited course offered by Mitchell Tech. Open to high school juniors and above.

Electro Mechanical Technology: First two programs of an accredited course offered by Northeast Community College: Intro to Mechanical Math, Tuesdays and Thursdays, 4:30 to 5:30 p.m., Jan. 8 through April 1, 2008. The cost is $197. Electrical Basics, Tuesdays and Thursdays, 6 to 9:30 p.m., Jan. 8 through April 1, 2008. The cost is $492.

LEAN Development (Value Stream Mapping): Manager level, Nov. 6 and 13, 6 to 9 p.m. The cost is $325 plus tax. Participant level, Nov. 15 and 20, 6 to 9 p.m. The cost is $275 plus tax. LEAN Enterprise course designed to help participants map Value Streams in both current and future state.

All but one class will be held at RTEC, which is located one block north of Yankton High School/Summit Activities Center at 1200 W. 21st St. in Yankton. The Car Care 200,000 course will be held in the Yankton High School Automotive Lab, located on the west side of the school building.
