"Becca Hawley led the Tanager offense with 14 points," said VHS coach Lori Jerred. "McKenzie Huska added seven. Justine Sorensen and Sophie Nehlich-Arobba each had six. A great defensive effort caused 26 turnovers and allowed the Tanagers to score some easy baskets."
The Tanagers jumped ahead 14-4 after the opening period, went into the locker room up 27-8 at halftime, and then led 33-14 after the third quarter.
