The sale is open to the public during regular library hours on Thursday, Dec. 6, 10 a.m. to 8:30 p.m.; Friday, Dec. 7, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.; Saturday, Dec. 8, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday, Dec. 9, 1 to 5 p.m.
This year, shoppers can donate $1 or more for books for Scholastic's One for Books program. Scholastic Inc. will match the donations for national programs that promote reading, such as Toys for Tots.

The Scholastic Book Fair is held each December to make quality reading material available for holiday gift giving and winter reading. Proceeds from the sale will be used to purchase books for the library's collection and for the ESA Giving Tree at the Library.
The Scholastic Book Fair is sponsored by the Friends of the Vermillion Public Library to earn books for the library and support programs such as the ESA Giving Tree, Summer Reading Program, and equipment purchases.
