SESDAC, Inc. recognizes Palsma as Employee of the Year

SESDAC, Inc. announced that Jennifer Palsma has been selected as the 2007 Employee of the Year. Palsma began working at SESDAC, Inc. in October of 2003 and has held multiple positions within the agency. Palsma is currently a community supports supervisor for SESDAC, Inc.

Each year one employee who exemplifies the true mission of SESDAC is selected for this honor. Palsma was recognized for this honor at the annual employee holiday party on Nov. 30.

"Jennifer has been instrumental in the continued success of our organization," said Gerry Tracy, executive director. "She is the kind of person everyone hopes to have as part of their team."

In nominating Palsma for Employee of the Year, her coworkers were quoted as saying: "Jennifer is an awesome role model for staff and coworkers." "She is insightful, open-minded, and determined." "Jennifer always goes above and beyond in all situations to ensure staff and people supported have what they need." "Jennifer consistently puts the people and the organization before her own interests."

Palsma and her husband, Adam, currently reside in Vermillion.

SESDAC, Inc. is a 501(c) (3) nonprofit organization that assists people with disabilities to live, work, and socialize in their community. SESDAC, Inc. was formed in 1973 and incorporated in 1976. SESDAC currently serves 74 people with disabilities in Clay and Union counties and has 140 employees.
