Tanager comeback falls short against the Lennox Orioles

Vermillion had trailed by 11 after three periods.

"Other than the first quarter, I thought we played well," said Vermillion coach Jason Huska. "Unfortunately, all four quarters count. After we settled down offensively, we got good looks at the basket. They really took advantage of the mismatches. I was proud of our team's effort."

Vermillion lost the game despite an edge from three-point range, making 10 of 22 from beyond the circle to 6 of 15 for Lennox.

The Tanagers fell behind 25-12 after the first quarter, trailed 40-32 after the second period, and then trailed 55-44 going into the final period.
