Alicia Brown scored 22 points, pulled down 10 rebounds, and made 10 steals.
The Tanagers took the lead 16-7 after the first quarter, and margins of 17-12 and 14-9 in the second and third quarters boosted the lead to 47-28 going into the final period.

Both sides were plagued by turnovers, with the Tanagers turning it over 20 times, and the Cubs committing 29 turnovers.
"Our girls played really hard tonight," said Vermillion coach Jamie Parish. "We made some adjustments with the combinations of players that we were putting on the floor and liked what we saw.
Vermillion now has a record of 2-1, while Alcester-Hudson fell to 0-2.
Vermillion connected on 1 of 7 three-pointers and made 5 of 11 from the line. The Tanagers sank 30 of 72 from the field, while Alcester-Hudson was 11 of 35 from the field. Alcester-Hudson connected on 0 of 4 three-point tries and hit 14 of 18 free-throw attempts.
Vermillion held a 33-15 edge on the boards.
The Tanagers had some excellent individual efforts in the win.
"Alicia Brown had a triple double, a very impressive effort from her as she takes on a larger role on our team," Parish said.
