Visitation was 4 to 5:30 p.m. Monday, Jan. 28, 2008, at the Iverson-Siecke Funeral Home. Visitation resumed at 6 p.m. at the church. A Rosary was said at 7 p.m. and a wake service was at 7:30 p.m.
Mr. Lynch was born Dec. 30, 1929 at Burbank, to John and Ida (Mockler) Lynch. He attended Rural Bruyer School and Graduated from Vermillion High in 1947. He married Sylvia A. Millette Feb. 4, 1950.
He farmed and was in manufacturing for 43 years. He started Sydell Farms, Sydell Inc. and D&M Livestock Inc. Mr. Lynch was an inventor of swine equipment.
He was an active member of St. Agnes Church, past member of St. Agnes Counsel. K of C, past director of Farm Home Administration, past director of Clay-Union Electric Coop., served on various committees for the Pork Producers and was a 4-H Leader.
Survivors are his wife, Sylvia; Sons; John (Doralee) and Michael (Kathleen) Lynch both of Burbank; a daughter, Kathleen (John) Lounsbery of Hartington, ME; Grandchildren; Christopher and Karen Lynch, Stephanie (David) Taylor, Melissa (Josh) Dalton, Krystel (Scott) Jacoby, Angela (Dan) Wiedenfeld, Paula Bahm, Kayla Lounsberry; five great-grandsons six great-granddaughters; and a brother, Robert, Burbank.
He was preceded in death by his parents; three sisters, LaVerne, Melba, and Eileen; two nieces; four nephews; and one great-nephew.
Iverson-Siecke Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
