Emily Jean (Pederson) Stecker, 77, passed away on Jan. 23, 2008 at Ontario, CA where she has resided since 1956. Jean was born July 11, 1930 in Sioux City, IA to Elmer and Kate Pederson. She moved to the Vermillion area at a very young age.
She was a graduate of University High School. She was employed at a bank both in Vermillion and Ontario, CA. She met and married James Stecker in California.
Survivors are her husband James; daughter Colleen (Kerry) Shank from Ft. Wayne, IN; and two sons, Bill and Glenn both of CA, seven grandchildren, nieces and nephews and many cousins.
Preceding her in death were her parents and three brothers James, Michael and John. Burial will take place in Ontario, CA on Friday, Feb. 1.
