Stefan Logan, who is the all-time leading rusher at The University of South Dakota, has signed an NFL contract with the Miami Dolphins. The Miami, FL, native was signed to the team's practice squad and has been working out with the team at running back, wide receiver and kick off return.
In his four-year career at USD, Logan (2003-06) compiled one of the greatest offensive careers in school history. He holds the Coyote career record for all purpose yards and rushing yards. He finished his career with 8,459 all purpose yards and he had 5,958 rushing yards. In fact, his 5,958 career rushing yards only ranks him first in career all purpose yards. During his career he scored 35 touchdowns, which is the third highest total in school history.
Logan also placed his name in the NCAA and NCC record books. He is sixth in career all purpose yards in NCAA Division II and is 11th in career rushing yards. Logan is also the only player in the history of the NCC to rush for 1,000 yards in four-straight seasons.
The Miami Dolphins will be at home this weekend, as they host the Buffalo Bills at 12 p.m. (CST) from Dolphin Stadium.
