The distance medley team broke a DakotaDome record with a clocking of 12:09.02 (Augustana, 12:11.65, 2005). The USD team consisted of senior Stephanie Gebhart (Elkton), sophomores Ramsey Kavan (Yankton) and Rosalie Brueske (Woonsocket) and freshman Emma Erickson (Gayville). The Coyote squad also recorded a provisional mark for the NCAA Division II Indoor Track and Field Championships in March.
Also meeting a provisional mark for the NCAA Division II nationals was sophomore Dominic Artis (Brooklyn Park, MN), who won the men's 200-meter dash with a personal, indoor-best of 22.19.

South Dakota's Shaneaka Parkes (Jr., Brown's Town, Minard Hall, St. Ann, Jamaica), captured the women's 200-meter dash with a time of 26.48. USD's Jenessa Filler (Jr., Crooks) was third with a time of 26.66 in the 200-meter dash.
