Brown's numerous activities at VHS include being name caption of the Tanager's volleyball and basketball teams. In a game against Elk Point earlier this month, she became one of four Tanagers to score over 1,000 points in a basketball career. On top of her athletic accomplishments Brown also finds time to be a member of the National Honor Society, First Priority and participates in Student Council.
Teachers at VHS have been impressed with Brown's character and attitude towards her coursework and fellow classmates. "She is a very kind and caring person," is how Brown's faculty endorsement describes her. Next year, Brown plans on attending USD in order to pursue her interests in the field of medicine. She will also be playing basketball for the Coyotes.
Rasmussen excels not only in the classroom, but also in the numerous activities she participates in. Her broad range of interests include serving as her class' Vice President, National Honor Society President, Band, swimming and journalism. Additionally, she serves as a Sunday School teacher at Trinity Lutheran Church.
Her endorser at VHS states, 'Her homework and test scores are superb and she combines that with a kind and helpful attitude in our classroom situations." Next year, Rasmussen plans on attending USD.
