Children’s choir fundraiser set

The Yankton Children's Choir and parents will host their third Annual Soup Kitchen Fundraiser on Monday, Feb. 18 from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. at the Elks Lodge #994 located at 504 W. 27th Street in Yankton.

Proceeds from this fundraiser help support the Yankton Children's Choir. The choir was formed in 1994 on the premise that children are capable of artistically producing choral music.

Under the direction of Choral Director Deb Wiebelhaus and Associate Director Rachel Moser the children are offered a multitude of special opportunities to sing and keep music alive in Yankton and the surrounding communities.

All are invited to enjoy their choice of five different soups, taverns and hotdogs, homemade pies and beverages. The costs for soup, tavern and pie are $1.50 each, a hotdog is $1 and a beverage is $.50.

The Yankton Children's Choir prides itself in the musical education it provides for area youth.
