Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Gayville Lutheran Church with the Rev. Ralph Egbert officiating. Burial was in the Gayville Cemetery.
Visitation was held from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the church, followed by a 7 p.m. prayer service.
She was born March 17, 1918, at Lincoln, NE, to Albert Reynold Davis and Icle Mae Hamilton. She graduated from eighth grade at the Meckling Schools.
She worked as a janitor at the Gayville bank and as a cook in the Gayville-Volin school.
She attended Gayville Lutheran Church and was a member of the WELCA, Higher Education Circle and church choir. She was also a Sunday school teacher.
She married Wilbur Southwick Aug. 17, 1934. He died Aug. 25, 1935.
She married Alfred Heier Sept. 20, 1940. He died March 17, 1975.
She is survived by three sons, Wilbur (Janet) Heier of Ava, MO, and Gary (Sandy) Heier and Neil Heier of Gayville; three sisters, Buehla Knutson and Helen Horton of Fresno, CA, and Marilyn Small of Sioux City, IA; two brothers, Earl (Phyliss) Davis of Coarsegold, CA, and Melvin (Blanche) Davis of Burns, TN; 11 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Icle (Hamilton) Davis; her husbands, Wilbur Southwick and Alfred Heier; one son, Dale Heier; one grandson, Christopher Heier; two daughters-in-law, Sharon Heier and Marj Heier; one brother, Dale Davis; and three brothers-in-law, Arnold Knutson, Winfred Horton and Clayton Small.
Iverson-Siecke Funeral Home of Vermillion was in charge of arrangements.
