Maurices has named Mindy Book as store manager. Book will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the store, including sales performance, visual presentation and personnel recruitment and training.
Maurices will feature a wide assortment of clothing in a 4,800 square foot store – styles that work from every day casual to special occasions. Maurices also offers women an expanded range of sizes from 1-24 (in select stores). Inspired by the girl in everyone, in every size. Maurices carries their own exclusive brands of Studio Y and Maurices.
Maurices believes in having a positive impact on communities by supporting causes and associate involvement in activities on a local and national level. maurice associates are encouraged to play an active role within their community.
In this, stores are empowered to support local events and charitable activities to become an integral member within the community. In 2007, Maurices became a National Team Partner with the American Cancer Society Relay For Life. This cause is supported through associate team participation and the sale of an exclusive item – to date, dressbarn inc., has contributed over $3.5 million to the American Cancer Society through team fund raising and our exclusive in store items.
In 2007, Maurices had a holiday plush named Sophie that sold for $5. For every Sophie sold, a minimum of $2.50 of each sale went to our local American Cancer Society, in addition to 2,800 donated to local hospitals and children's organizations. Maurices also supports community organizations through associate volunteerism and matching contributions.
