The DearReader.com Book Club offers many selections to Internet patrons. Each book runs for five days, Monday through Friday. Some genres offer selections every other week. Library Announcements

This month's Word Games is scheduled for Saturday, March 15 from 1-4 p.m. in the Community Room of the library. Come play your favorite word games or learn new ones. This activity is for adults and young adults from ages 12-18 years of age.

The March selection for the Book Club is Omnivore's Dilemma: A Natural History of Four Meals, by Michael Pollan. The author examines the environmental, ethnical, and social impacts of escaping the Western diet, and by doing so, preventing most of the chronic diseases that diet causes. Copies of this book are available at the circulation desk. Pollan is also the author of In Defense of Food. The Book Club will be held in the Community Room on Thursday, March 27 from 6-8 p.m.

A program on bicycling basics is being presented by Barbara and Dr. Charles Yelverton at the library on Saturday, April 5 from 10-11:30 a.m. The presentation will include bicycling skills, tips, and safety.

Don't forget your complimentary copy of Book Page: America's Book Review. The March edition is available on the front counter of the circulation desk. The Book Page includes current information on new books, reviews of books, and articles and interviews about authors.

Due to spring break, there will be no Story Time March 17 through 20.

The Vermillion Public Library will be closed for the day on Sunday, March 23 for Easter. Materials may be returned to the book and A/V drops located on the south side of the library building.
