USD Coyotes conclude rebel spring games
Despite suffering an 8-1 loss in their final day of competition, The University of South Dakota will return from Florida with one of its best records at the annual Rebel Spring Games. After losing to Georgian Court, the Coyotes compiled a 6-3 record during their spring trip.

USD's first game of the day against Concordia (NE) was cancelled due to the weather.

Georgian Court jumped out to an early 2-0 lead, thanks to leadoff hitter Jessica Comiskey. She had a double in the first inning and scored two batters later. Then in the third inning, she led off with a homer to give her team the 2-0 edge.

The Lions then broke the game open in the fourth inning by putting a five spot on the board. First Georgian Court scored a run on a bases loaded walk before Heather Walker cleared the bases with a grand slam to centerfield.

Comiskey and Walker combined to go 4-for-5 at the plate with two home runs, six RBIs and four runs scored.

Tagney Jones collected USD's only two hits of the game. She had a hit to right field in the first and a hit to left field in the sixth.

Jones did suffer the loss for the Coyotes. She surrendered six runs in 3.0 innings while allowing five hits and walking four.
