The Coyotes received an automatic bid to the NCAA Division II Women's Basketball National Championship after winning the North Central Conference Postseason Tournament on Sunday.
This will be the third-ranked Coyotes' second straight and eighth overall national tournament appearance. South Dakota, which owns a 28-1 record and won the NCC regular season title, will face #8 seed Colorado State-Pueblo at 6 p.m. on Friday. The Coyotes will play the ThunderWolves for the first time in school history.
