USD women will host North Central Tourney
The University of South Dakota women's basketball team, which has won 26 straight games, received the number one seed and will host the North Central Regional Tournament on March 14, 15 and 17 at the DakotaDome.

The Coyotes received an automatic bid to the NCAA Division II Women's Basketball National Championship after winning the North Central Conference Postseason Tournament on Sunday.

This will be the third-ranked Coyotes' second straight and eighth overall national tournament appearance. South Dakota, which owns a 28-1 record and won the NCC regular season title, will face #8 seed Colorado State-Pueblo at 6 p.m. on Friday. The Coyotes will play the ThunderWolves for the first time in school history.
