Each year the orchestra has a concerto competition open to all junior, senior or graduate USD students. This year there were three winners. Suzannah Bryan, who will play the first movement of Mozart's Clarinet Concerto, is a senior music education major and she studies with Dr. Holly Haddad.
The first and last movements of Dragonetti's dramatic Concerto for Double Bass will feature another winner of the competition, Josh Rieck, a first-year graduate student who studies with Dr. Richard Rognstad.

Derick Rehurek, a junior music education major, will conduct the orchestra in two movements of Mussorgsky's Pictures at an Exhibition.
The orchestra will also give the program for the fourth-grade students of the Vermillion public schools at 10 a.m. the same morning. For additional information contact Rick Rognstad, 677-5722.
