SD schedules annual trombone festival

The 12th Annual Siouxland Trombone Festival will be held April 3 and 4 on the campus of The University of South Dakota. The legendary Ralph Sauer will be the featured clinician. Mr. Sauer, recently retired as the principal trombonist with the Los Angeles Philharmonic, is also an accomplished recording artist and founding member of the world renowned Summit Brass.

Thursday, April 3 will be College Day, and April 4 is for High School students and College students as well. Both days will feature clinics, masterclasses and recitals along with mass trombone choir rehearsals. The Mass Choir will feature nearly 100 trombonists from the region.
