USD Law School grad killed in Iraq

We have learned that Paul Converse, a 1998 graduate of USD School of Law, died at age 56 on Monday, March 24, 2008, of injuries from a Sunday (Easter) rocket attack in Iraq. According to the U.S. Embassy in Iraq and news reports, he was a civilian employee auditing contracts in Baghdad for the Special Inspector General for Iraq Reconstruction, part of the U.S. Department of Defense. He is survived by his parents, Richard and Leona Converse of Corvallis, Ore., a brother, nephews, a niece, and grandnieces. A memorial service is planned, but not yet scheduled, in Corvallis.
