USD Red/White football game Friday in Dome

The University of South Dakota football team will be holding its annual Red/White Spring Game this Friday, April 18 at the DakotaDome. Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m., and the event is free to the public.

Doors will open at 5:30 p.m., and there will be a tailgate meal available in the concourse. The meal will cost $6 for adults and $3 for children.

During the game, the athletic department will give away one semester of free tuition to a USD student who is present at the game and wearing red.

The South Dakota athletic department will also donate $500 to the Vermillion middle or elementary school that has the most students in attendance.

The University of South Dakota will begin its first year of transition to NCAA Division I in 2008. They will be members of the Great West Football Conference in 2008 and will be eligible for the conference championship immediately.
