Daniels, Ustad receive March student of the month scholarship

Daniels, Ustad receive March student of the month scholarship First Bank & Trust is pleased to announce Dru Daniels and Mikal Ustad as Students of the Month for March. Both students will receive a $100 scholarship. Danielsâ�?�? numerous activities at VHS include being a four-year member of the girlsâ�?�? tennis team, choir, and band, including participating in the show choir and the marching band. She also attended Girlâ�?�?s State last summer, is active in the community theatre, and has been involved as a tutor. Her faculty sponsor has been impressed by her willingness to help others without being asked, â�?�?Dru always treats everyone with respect and dignity.â�? Next year, Daniels is undecided on a school, but would like to study vocal performance or musical theatre. Ustad has been involved in many activities at VHS. He was a member of the golf team, basketball team, and baseball team. Additionally, Ustad aids the local parks and recreation youth baseball program. Ustad has also been active with the UCC Youth Group, Natural Helpers, and served on VHSâ�?�?s student council. His sponsor at VHS highlights Ustadâ�?�?s commitment to classroom participation by stating, â�?�?He pays close attention to classroom discussions.â�? Next year, he plans on attending either the University of Wyoming or the University of Northern Arizona to pursue a major in computer science.
