Life will be Sweet on Cherry Street Construction Update Workers from D&G Concrete Construction, Inc. and other contractors completed the following work on the Cherry Street reconstruction project last week: â�?¢ Sanitary sewer services complete from Jefferson Street to Plum Street. â�?¢ Base course complete for turning lane on Highway 19 south. â�?¢ Water main from Jefferson Street to Norbeck Street. Work planned for May 19-23: â�?¢ Water main testing and installation from Norbeck Street to Crawford Road. â�?¢ Drill bars and pave turn lane Highway 19 south. â�?¢ Storm sewer from Plum Street to Norbeck Street. â�?¢ Removals from Norbeck Street to east project limit. â�?¢ Hauling borrow to east ramp construction. Miscellaneous: â�?¢ Speed limit is 25 mph through the construction project. Speeding violations are and will continue to be issued during the construction season by the Vermillion Police Department. Speed violation fines double in work zone. â�?¢ Do not add, remove or relocate barrels, barricades, signs, temporary business signs, etc. on the construction site. If concerns arise, please contact D&G Concrete Construction or the DOT for evaluation. â�?¢ Temporary driveways are being constructed.
