Recent donations aid United Way campaign United Way of Verm-illion has reached its 2008 fund-raising campaign of $95,000 according to Deb Christensen, United Way of Vermillion Board Pres-ident. Christensen, of the Bank of the West, said ��?I am very pleased to announce that our 2008 fund drive has been extremely successful.� She continued ��?While we have met our 2008 goal our Board wants to exceed it and our efforts will continue for several more months.� Recent contributions have come from a variety of sources including the local HyVee, the Sanford Medical Center, and from a group of University of South Dakota students called Coyoteopoly. Christensen went on to explain that while all contributions are very important the Coyoteopoly donation was significant. The Coyoteopoly donation ca-me as a result of fund-raising activities conducted by a group of 85 USD business students during the recent spring semester. The Coyoteopoly contribution of over $12,000 will be used to grow the United Way��?s Imagination Library program. ��?It is so gratifying to have these USD students so involved with United Way of Vermillion and their efforts are truly appreciated� said Chris-tensen. ��?We are very pleased with the support from throughout Vermillion and Clay County� Christensen continued. She added ��?The donations we have received from HyVee and from Sanford Medical Center are indicative of the overwhelming support United Way continues to receive and it speaks well of our community� she concluded.
