Vermillion Community Theatre announces auditions for the production of The Music Man The Vermillion Commu-nity Theatre is pleased to announce a production of Meredith Willson��?s The Music Man which will be performed July 11-14 at the Vermillion High School Performing Arts Center. Nanette Hofer will direct this Broadway favorite. Anthony Burbach has been selected as the musical director. Auditions will be held May 19 and 20 at 7 p.m. at the Vermillion High School. Call-backs will be Thursday, May 22. There are parts for school children and adults. Actors should be prepared to dance, sing and read. No prepared material is required. The VCT is very excited to bring this great family show to local audiences and encourages everyone to shine their brass buttons and be prepared to tap their toes. The Music Man originally opened in New York in 1957 and ran for 1375 performances. It is the winner of eight Tony Awards and won a Grammy Award for the album while the score for the film won an Academy Award.
