Vermillion retailers will distribute tickets to SDPB Television taping June 13 Itâ�?�?s folk and roots music at its best. East of Westreville is performing on Friday, June 13, at 8 p.m. Free tickets are available when No cover, No minimum is taped in the SDPB Television Studio in Vermillion. You can pick up tickets at SDPB in the Al Neuharth Media Center at USD, or call 605-677-5861, or ask for your free tickets in Vermillion at: Civic Council, Davis Pharmacy, Hy-Vee, Jonesâ�?�? Food Center and Pamida. If tickets are no longer available, stop by the studio the night of performance. Empty seats will be offered 5 minutes before the show begins. Every month, the classic SDPB Television music series presents a television program featuring a new generation of musical talents who are from or performing in South Dakota. East of Westreville, a talented Southeast South Dakota quartet, is named after the Westre family who settled Westreville, now a crossroads on Frog Creek Road in Clay County. For the band,�? the pioneer settlement is a symbol â�?�?for what we will always sing about: family, love, God and faith. Itâ�?�?s about the people who have gone before, people from small towns and farms, people like our parents and grandparents.â�? The band features Kaija Bonde, Boyd Bristow, Brian Bonde and�? Al Slaathaug. The concert will air on SDPB Television later this summer. No cover, No minimum tapings generally take place on Fridays at 8 p.m. in the SDPB Television Studio on the USD campus. The programs usually air at 10 p.m. on the third or fourth Saturday of the month. In June, singer and songwriter Chris Saub will be featured with a mix of blues, folk and pop on SDPB Television at 10 p.m. Saturday, June 28.
