VHS student receives scholarship

VHS student receives scholarship A Best Buy Scholarship has been awarded to Sarah Hansen, 2008 graduate of Vermillion High School. Sarah is the daughter of Brad and Jean Hansen and plans to attend Black Hills State University next fall. As part of Best Buy��?s commitment to ensure opportunities for teens to succeed, the Best Buy Children��?s Foundation has awarded more than $2.75 million in scholarships to graduating high school seniors nationwide. A total of 1,551 students were awarded scholarships, with 51 receiving awards of $10,000 and 1,500 students receiving $1,500 scholarships. Scholarship recipients were selected based on academic achievement, community involvement and/or work experience, and must be entering an accredited university, college or technical school in the fall of 2008.
