Farmers Union District camp The welcome mat is out for youngsters from 21 South Dakota counties at Swan Lake near Viborg. Farmers Union Districts One and Two will sponsor a four-day camp scheduled for June 2 through June 5 at Swan Lake Camp. ��?We are inviting kids aged six to 13 from throughout our region to join us for a good time,� said Farmers Union District One Education Director Denise Mushitz of Geddes. ��?Our 2008 camp theme, ��?Xtreme Cooperation�, indicates our objective��?helping young people to learn about the importance of cooperation through fun activities like games, singing, crafts and swimming.� The camp registration fee is $70 for children of Farmers Union members and $90 for non-members. There is limited space available and pre-registration is required by May 19. Registrations need to be sent to Pat Larson, District II Education Director, 40062 231st St., Woonsocket, SD 57385. Farmers Union members and parents are invited to attend a banquet planned for the evening of Wednesday, June 4th at 6:30 PM. Farmers Union Districts One and Two include Bon Homme, Charles Mix, Clay, Douglas, Hutchinson, Lincoln, Turner, Union Yankton, Aurora, Brule, Buffalo, Davison, Hanson, Jerauld, Lake, McCook, Miner, Minnehaha, Moody and Sanborn counties.
