Vermillion Public Library Go BUGGY & Catch the Reading Bug at VPL The Young Adult Summer Reading program Kick-off Pizza Party is scheduled for Friday, May 30 at 5 p.m. in the Community Room of the library. The Summer Reading Program starts Monday, June 2 at 1:30 or 3:30 p.m. with Kick-Off Parties. The Program offers activities, parties, and reading competitions for readers of all ages. For the younger reader â�?�?Buggyâ�? activities are planned on Monday through Thursday, plus the regularly scheduled story times for toddlers and preschoolers. Mondays will star special performers and programs starting at 1:30 p.m. Tuesdays entice creativity with â�?�?Buggyâ�? crafts. Bug movies are airing on Wednesdays and age appropriate book clubs meet on Thursdays. Library Announcements Internationally renowned vocal artist Scott Piper will be holding a series of programs called Opera Camp starting on June 5 scheduled for each Thursday evening in the month of June at the library. This class is for adults 18 years and older who are interested in learning more about the amazing multi-media art form called opera. This program costs $50. Monday through Thursday hours are still from 10 a.m.-9 p.m. The library closes on Fridays at 6 p.m. and Saturdays at 5 p.m. DearReader.com Book Club The DearReader.com Book Club offers many selections to Internet patrons. Each book runs for five days, Monday through Friday. Some genres offer selections every other week.
