Repair work started on the South Dakota side of the river concentrating on the outside gusset plates. �? Work is progressing slower than anticipated due to unforeseen field conditions. Complete closure of Highway 81 across the Meridian Bridge will be delayed until Monday, June 16 at the earliest. �? Weather and field conditions could cause further delays. The estimated duration of the closure is two weeks at this time.
