Life Will Be Sweet on Cherry Street Construction Update Workers from D&G Concrete Construction, Inc. and other contractors completed the following work on the Cherry Street reconstruction project last week: â�?¢ Concrete removal from Norbeck Street to Crawford Road. â�?¢ Concrete paving, curb and gutter, approaches and sidewalk from Plum Street to Jefferson Street. â�?¢ Water main from Norbeck Street to Crawford Road. â�?¢ Street light conduit from Plum Street to Jefferson Street. â�?¢ Restriping Highway 19â�?�?s south turn lane. â�?¢ Storm sewer from Jefferson Street to Norbeck Street. Work planned for next week includes: â�?¢ Water main testing and services from Norbeck Street to Crawford Road. â�?¢ Storm sewer from Norbeck Street to Crawford Road. â�?¢ Concrete paving, curb and gutter, approaches and sidewalk from Jefferson Street to Crawford Road. â�?¢ Grading, gravel from Jefferson Street to Crawford Road. Miscellaneous: â�?¢ As concrete paving begins, expect limited access for short periods. â�?¢ Speed limit is 25 mph through the construction project. Speeding violations are and will continue to be issued during the construction season by the Vermillion Police Department. Speed violation fines double in work zone. â�?¢ Do not add, remove or relocate barrels, barricades, signs, temporary business signs, etc. on the construction site. If concerns arise, please contact D&G Concrete Construction or the DOT for evaluation. â�?¢ Temporary driveways are being constructed.
