Local students attend USD's Summer Accounting Institute Sixteen high school sophomores and juniors from South Dakota, Iowa and Minnesota attended the 2008 Summer Accounting Institute at The University of South Dakota earlier this month. Under the direction of Angela Olson, MPA, CPA, an instructor of accounting and finance at USD, the four-day symposium addr-essed educational, career exploration, professional and social aspects of accounting, including field trips to a public accounting firm and additional businesses as well as various classroom activities. Social and team activities were also incorporated throughout the Institute.
