Lucille Storm Lucille â�?�?Lucyâ�? C. Storm, 79, of Vermillion died Tuesday, June 17, 2008 at the Sanford Vermillion Care Center. Lucy was born Oct. 20, 1928 in Duluth, MN as Catherine Ann Wright. She was adopted at birth by Herbert C.J. and Laura Olson who changed her name to Lucille Catherine. She grew up in Minneapolis, graduated from Garfield High School and attended the Minnesota School of Business. She married Robert Johnson, and was widowed shortly after, and on May 4, 1957 she married Richard Storm. Two years later they moved to Vermillion. Lucy worked and volunteered at the Vermillion Senior Center for many years, volunteered at the Vermillion nursing home and served on the board for Trinity Lutheran Church and the Senior Center. She was very active in her PEO, was the choir director at Trinity for many years and loved music. She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Richard of Vermillion; daughter Jill Storm (Tim Kauffman) of Sioux Falls; son John (Maureen Cashin) of Vermillion; and daughter Susan Storm-McDowell (Jamie McDowell) all of Sioux Falls. Also surviving her are four grandchildren, Daniel and Eric Storm, Sasha and Maya McDowell, and two step grandchildren, Patrick and Peter Haught. Funeral services were 10:30 a.m. Friday, June 20 at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Vermillion with burial following in the BluffView Cemetery in Vermillion.
