Community gardeners and volunteers are out in full force The community gardeners and friends of the garden were out in force last weekend, weeding, planting, and tending their plots as well as the communal spaces.? The garden is open to the public, and we would like to invite the public to come view the gardens on the corner of Cedar and Franklin streets, behind the Washington Street Arts Center.? Please be respectful of the plots when you visit ? don?t pick the flowers or vegetables. Our volunteers have been working hard to make the Community Garden Project a positive and educational experience for the community. Come see examples of the square foot garden technique, as well as a native plants garden in the making.? If you are interested in volunteering in the gardens or leasing a plot for fall crops, you can contact Dean Spader at 624-6831.?
