Construction Update Workers from D&G Concrete Construction, Inc. and other contractors completed the following work on the Cherry Street reconstruction project last week: â�?¢ Concrete removal from Norbeck Street to Crawford Road. â�?¢ Concrete paving, curb and gutter, approaches and sidewalk from Plum Street to Jefferson Street. â�?¢ Street light bases from Plum Street to Jefferson Street. â�?¢ Restriping Highway 19â�?�?s south turn lane and permanent signs. â�?¢ Storm sewer from Jefferson Street to Norbeck Street. â�?¢ Water services from Norbeck Street to Crawford Road. Work planned for next week includes: â�?¢ Storm sewer from Norbeck Street to Crawford Road. â�?¢ Concrete paving, curb and gutter, approaches and sidewalk from Jefferson Street to Norbeck Street. â�?¢ Grading, gravel from Jefferson Street to Crawford Road. â�?¢ Grading, gravel from Jefferson Street to Crawford Road. â�?¢ Sanitary sewer and storm sewer from Dakota Street to Ratingen Street. Miscellaneous: â�?¢ Dakota Street north of Cherry Street will be closed for approximately two weeks. â�?¢ As concrete paving begins, expect limited access for short periods. â�?¢ Speed limit is 25 mph through the construction project. Speeding violations are and will continue to be issued during the construction season by the Vermillion Police Department. Speed violation fines double in work zone. â�?¢ Do not add, remove or relocate barrels, barricades, signs, temporary business signs, etc. on the construction site. If concerns arise, please contact D&G Concrete Construction or the DOT for evaluation. â�?¢ Temporary driveways are being constructed. If anyone has any concerns about the driveway or problems with semi deliveries, please contact the DOT and other arrangements can be discussed. â�?¢ No parking on Princeton Street from Cherry Street to the Pamida entrance. â�?¢ Updates on construction progress and changes will be available online at dgconcrete.com.
