Jensen awarded Honors scholarship Tony Jensen of Burbank was awarded the Honors Scholarship for the 2008-2009 school year at South Dakota State University. Tony is an incoming freshman majoring in civil engineering at SDSU this fall. He is the son of Reid and Marilyn Jensen of Burbank and is a 2008 graduate of the Beresford High School, where he was active in basketball, golf, Quiz Bowl, National Honor Society, Peer Helpers, cross country, Governorâ�?�?s Leadership Luncheon, Boyâ�?�?s State, chorus, Talent Show, marching band, concert band, jazz band, Rising Scholars in Math and Science, Youth Engineering Adventure, church (usher), Teens Against Tobacco Use, Vacation Bible School, Great American Smoke Out, prom (host), Meals On Wheels (volunteer), church youth group, High Honor Roll and Merton Hasse Math Competition. Honors Scholarships are awarded to incoming freshmen that have demonstrated strong academic achievements, extracurricular involvement and leadership skills.
